Andrei Ujica, born in 1951 in Timisoara (Romania), has lived and worked in Germany since 1981.Popstar, author, and filmmaker, he teaches literature, film and media theory. Currently he is professor at HfG, Karlsruhe and the director of the ZKM Film Institute. Films: Videograms of a Revolution, made together with Harun Farocki (1992), Out of the Present, about the last Soviet cosmonaut, Sergei Krikaljow (1995), 2 Pasolini, a short film about Pasolini and the desert (2000), Unknown Quantity, a conversation between Paul Virilio and Swetlana Alexijewitsch transformed into a film installation, made together with Johannes Fischer (2002). A DVD version will be released in 2005.

PD Dr. Eva Horn, private lecturer in West European Literature at the Fakultät für Kulturwissenschaft, Europa-Universität Viadrina, Frankfurt/Oder. Numerous publications on the epistemology of the secret service, war in the 20th century and on the issue of the political secret. Most recent book (manuscript): Der geheime Krieg. Verrat, Spionage und moderne Literatur (The Secret War: Betrayal, Espionage and modern Literature).
